Ceramic Sculpture

can I glaze over bisqueware that was already painted with acrylic paint and kiln fire? I?
I made a ceramic sculpture piece, and painted it with acrylic paint after the first firing. I decided that I did not like it. Is it possible to glaze over the acrylic paint and fire it?
The acrylic paint will cause problems.
Can you remove the acrylic paint before applying the glaze?
The glaze sticks by absorbing into the bisque. The paint would be sealing the material. Also not sure what would happen when the paint burns up.
One of the studios I took classes had a sand blaster. But permission was required to use it.
Another possibility is to do more painting. I have had pieces that I changed my mind on after a few years and I scraped a few places before applying more acrylic paint.
